Schedule allocations in percentages
After changes to improve scheduling in Float, like fixed end-date allocations, the one we’ve all been waiting for is here.
Schedule allocations in percentages!
Percentage allocations will give you enhanced flexibility to work on high-level planning or book with general time blocks.
Let’s look at how this might work for you.
- High-level planning: say you’re scoping out an upcoming project and thinking about who you’ll need and for roughly how long—for example, an engineer, a UX designer, and a PM, at varying degrees throughout the project. Now, you can map their roles in % allocations across different project phases without having to specify hours. Float will automatically calculate their allocations in hours and budget accordingly.
- Time blocks: Say you have a retainer client that commits a few team members to work about 20% of their weekly capacity. Instead of calculating those hours manually for each day, you can schedule a 20% weekly allocation—and the equivalent hours will auto-adjust on the Schedule. Simple!
Schedule allocations in percentages will be available on all tiers. See how it works!
