Updates to Float’s data processing agreement
In December 2022, we updated Float’s Data Processing Agreement (DPA) to incorporate Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as published by the European Commission on June 4, 2021. These SCCs are in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that addresses data transfers originating from the European Economic Area.

Why has Float made these updates?
The security and privacy of our customers are a priority, and we treat data compliance as a foundation—not just a feature. We’ve made these updates to our DPA to ensure that we meet security compliance standards for our customers globally and that Float’s policies on security, data, and privacy are easy for customers to access and understand.
When will this be effective?
This DPA will automatically become part of your service agreement with Float, effective from December 6, 2022.
What do I have to do?
All Float customers are part of our online DPA service agreement, and no action is required. If you have questions about your DPA with Float, please get in touch with us at support@float.com.
Are you planning any other changes to your security policies?
The security of our customers and the protection of your data is something that we take seriously at Float. We’re proud to always seek new ways to strengthen our security and resilience controls and meet best-in-class compliance standards. Currently, we’re SOC 2 Type 1 certified.
