With Float’s latest updates to our Zapier connector, you’ll be able to create step-by-step integrations with your favorite tools 7,000+ apps and keep project data up to date and fresh across those connections.

What’s changing?

If you’ve already tried out our Zapier connector, or even if you haven’t, you’ll notice changes to the following triggers & actions:

  • More trigger options from project datasets: choose to start workflows when projects, phases, or project tasks are updated or created
  • New update actions to sync project data: keep project data in sync by automatically updating project statuses, dates, phases, tasks, and milestones via the Zapier connection
  • Additional project fields to pull through: have your workflow automation find existing project data, like project codes or tags, to use as a reference in your connection

See Zapier trigger & action details here.

How can you use the Float <> Zapier connector?

Project Management Tools

Create & update projects: let’s say you use a project management tool like ClickUp, but you manage your resourcing in Float. When you create a new project with tasks in ClickUp, then you can add the same project and tasks in Float. Then, let’s say the timeline shifts out a month halfway through the project. When those dates are updated in the ClickUp, you can set up Zapier to also update the dates in Float. Voila! Your resourcing and project plans stay aligned, so that you can make actionable resourcing changes as project changes come through. See how to enable connections with the tools below.

CRM Tools

When your deal reaches a certain stage (say "closed won"), you can set up a Zapier connection to create new clients and projects in Float. It can even include details, like account notes or expected kickoff dates. See how to enable connections with the tools below.
