A new Role management page to streamline future planning and estimating in Float
A new Role management page to streamline future planning and estimating in Float
We're expanding how you can manage Roles in Float to supercharge your project planning. In March, we renamed the 'Job Title' field to 'Role' to encourage standardized team setups. This week we've rolled out a dedicated Roles management section within your Team Settings. From here, Admins and Account Owners can easily add, edit, and delete Roles for their team. This streamlines the governance of how your team uses Float by making it easier to manage your team's setup and workflows. Even better, setting up Roles will enable you to take full advantage of upcoming project estimation and planning features later this year.
Zero clicks, zero effort: New automatic timesheets ✨
Zero clicks, zero effort: New automatic timesheets ✨
Let's be honest, timesheets can be a burden. The last thing anyone wants to do on a Friday, or any day really, is spend their precious time logging hours worked. Ironic, isn't it?!
For teams working on longer-term or retainer-based projects, weekly allocations become fairly predictable. As a result, logging your hours is often a repetitive task that doesn't require any manual input.
We've got a solution for you.
Tasks assigned to your team are being renamed as allocations
Tasks assigned to your team are being renamed as allocations
In traditional task-based scheduling, it's easy to get lost in the details of individual jobs, making it challenging to see the bigger picture. To address this, we are renaming tasks as allocations on the Schedule in Float.
By scheduling allocations and optionally assigning them to related tasks, you can quickly understand your team's planned time and track total hours faster in your reporting.
This update reflects how many teams are already using Float and supports project leaders to plan with a more holistic view of how their team's time is distributed and spent.
We're releasing this feature to teams in Float this week.
New plan names—Starter, Pro, and Enterprise
New plan names—Starter, Pro, and Enterprise
We're always working to improve Float and make it even more effective for planning your team's time. That said, we understand that our subscription options can sometimes feel confusing.
That's why we've introduced new plan names: Starter, Pro, and Enterprise. These new names better reflect the functionality of each plan and make choosing the right one for your team's growth even easier.
While the names have changed, our pricing for each plan has not.
We're committed to offering the best value for managing your team's time, and these updated plan names reflect that. We'll continue to develop and release features that help elevate the planning process for all teams using Float!
